Poinsettia's...they're kind of a big deal.

Tell your family how much you appreciate all that they have done with this, the most popular Christmas plant, the poinsettia. We have all sorts of poinsettias with colors ranging from white, to pink, to assorted reds, to hybrids such as the jinglebell poinsettia. These colorful plants come in many sizes as well. Ball Park Floral and Gifts offers plants as small as 2" table top poinsettias and goes up to as big as 10" poinsettias.

For those who aren't interested in the traditional poinsettia, we also carry beautiful varieties of kolanchoes and Christmas cactuses. Depending on our suppliers, we carry pinks, white and reds in the plants as well.

Supply is limited this close to the holidays so don't wait for the last possible moment. We might be unable to fill your request.

Every October 16 is a day to tell your boss exactly how they make you feel! And, you know, bring them nice things to show your appreciation for "The Man" (or "Woman"). Good boss or one that drives you up the wall; either way this is the day to say "thanks" for the paycheck if nothing else. And for those bosses that make you happy to come into work, this really is a day of thanks and celebration!

Sweetest day is on the 17th of October (always falling on the third Saturday in October) and it doesn't neccassarily represent what you would think. Yeah, this is a day to show all those people in your life how much you care, but it's also a day to remember the sick, orphaned, and elderly...the people that others have forgotten. Back some sixty years go, a man from Cleveland distributed gifts to the people who had been forgotten. We were recently in the paper again (Great Finds section) and many of you may have seen our chalkboard vases. Well they turned out to be so popular that we sold out. However, we now have these chalkboard pots which are very similar only smaller. Their rims are chalkboard instead of the bodies (vases were color-rimmed and chalkboard bodied). The chalkboard vases have been sold out (as has been said) and we cannot order more. These pots are just as fun, however.

The rose is the national floral emblem of the United States where we celebrate June as National Rose Month. Roses are truly timeless. For years, centuries, in fact, roses have been used to show affection, inspire love, and bring natural beauty to those who are given them. A variety of colors are attributed to roses. Red symbolizes love where pink can be seen as expressing your admiration for someone. Orange roses portray passion and excitement, perhaps as in the middle of a new, entrancing romance. White roses are seen as an expression of new beginnings, more often than not associated with weddings where two people begin a new life together. Lavender roses are commonly given as a declaration of love-at-first-sight. Roses are not only for lovers, however. It may seem difficult to think of ways to celebrate Memorial Day with your children. One of the things my kids and I will do this Memorial Day is purchase about three packs of small flags, visit a Veterans' Memorial Park and have my children distribute them to all the service members who share same first names as they do!
It's never easy to talk to your children about death, but in the context of honorable service and sacrifice for the nation we all love its a little easier.
